The O Shot may help!

The O shot is a treatment that uses no chemical or synthetic material and stimulates your body’s own repair mechanisms.

How is it done?

About 2 ounces of your blood is drawn from your arm like a simple lab blood draw.

The blood is then processed in a centrifuge and blood cells are separated. We specifically concentrate the platelets and growth factors that initiate the inflammatory process which is vital to healing. The concentrate call PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is then directly injected into the tissues we are treating.

Does it hurt?

We keep our patients comfortable by pre-treating with a topical anesthetic cream. A block using lidocaine is administered after icing the area for a few minutes.

Most patients feel only a slight pressure and/or cramping which passes quickly. There is no need for additional pain medications.

What areas are treated with the O shot?

The major sensory nerves for women center around the clitoris so this where we start treatment. PRP appears to stimulate nerve regeneration in some patients. The bundle of nerves under the urethra commonly called the “G spot” is also part of female sexual response so this is also treated. An additional benefit of the G spot treatment for many is improved urethral function and improvement of bladder control because PRP can stimulate collagen remodeling. Collagen remodeling strengthens the collagen supports and brings in healthy blood vessels and nerves.

Sometimes PRP is also used to treat the skin condition called lichen sclerosis. This is common inflammatory condition of the skin that can cause chronic itching and discomfort. If left untreated it does have a small chance of turning in skin cancer. Studies suggest that PRP may promote skin healing.

How long will my O shot appointment take?

The O shot procedure takes about 30 minutes including blood processing and general prep time

How soon will I see results?

Time to results vary but may take up to 6 weeks. If additional O shots are desired, we recommend spacing them out by 6 weeks.

When will I need to repeat the O shot?

Although there is a lot of variation in how long results last, we recommend planning to repeat the O shot yearly.

Can the O shot be combined with other treatments?

Yes, the O shot works synergistically with other collagen stimulating treatments including Votiva, Fractora, micro needling and the Collagenizer.

What’s an “Ouchless” O shot?

With the “Ouchless” Oshot we apply your own plasma (PRP) or a synthetic concentrate of growth factors called exosomes to the surface of the intimate skin including the clitoris and labia (lips). The treatment can get into the deep dermis with the use of the Collagenizer which uses gentle energy to open the water channels in the skin. Then the Collagenizer drives the PRP or exosomes without breaching the skin itself.

The “Ouchless” O shot is used to improve sensation and orgasm but does not help bladder control.
